What we collect when you ask for a price, who it reaches, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
Only what a move needs, and it arrives in two ways.
What you type. Your name, email address and phone number; where you are moving from and to; the date and how flexible it is; the size of your home and anything you tell us about access, stairs, lifts or particular items; and whatever you write in the notes.
What your browser sends. Your IP address, your browser's user agent, the page you were on when you submitted, the page that sent you to us, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This is how we learn which routes and which searches actually bring people to us — the carrier's own system cannot tell us that, so it is recorded here or not at all.
We do not ask for card or bank details anywhere on this site, and nothing here collects them.
Consent records
If you tick the box agreeing to calls and texts, we store the exact wording you were shown, the moment you ticked it, the page it was on and the IP address it came from. Under the federal rules on automated contact the burden of proving consent is ours, and “there was a checkbox” is not proof. The wording and the way it works are set out on the text messages page.
What we do with it
- Work out the price range you asked for.
- Contact you about that move — by email, by phone, and by text if you agreed to it.
- Pass the job to the carrier who will perform it.
- Understand which pages and searches produce real customers, so we know where to spend.
We do not use it to advertise anything other than your own move to you, and we do not build profiles of people who never became customers beyond the counts above.
Who else sees it
Four kinds of recipient, and no others. Each gets what it needs to do its job, never a copy of everything.
- The carrier performing your move, through their operational system, HelloMoving / Granot. They receive your contact details, the route, the date and the size, because that is the job.
- Our email provider, Resend, which delivers the acknowledgement and anything else we write to you.
- Our telephony provider, Twilio, which carries our calls and text messages.
- The services this site runs on — Vercel for hosting and for counting page views, Supabase for the database.
The page-view counting sets no cookies and collects nothing about you personally. We see how many people opened a page, which page sent them, and roughly where they stopped if they started asking for a price. We do not see who you are, we do not follow you to other websites, and there is nothing here to consent to, which is why this site does not put a cookie banner in front of you.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing. The recipients above are there to carry out the move you asked about and are not free to use your details for anything else. We will also hand over information where the law requires it.
Recorded calls
Calls we place or take may be recorded, and where a call is made by an automated system you are told that it is automated and that it is being recorded, at the start, before anything else. Florida requires everybody on a call to agree to it being recorded, so if you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will stop.
How long we keep it
For as long as your move and the paperwork behind it need. Federal rules oblige a household goods carrier to keep the documents of a shipment for a set period after it is delivered, and consent records have to outlast the contact they permit. Enquiries that never become moves are kept while they are still worth following up and then removed.
Getting it removed
Write to info@yelloweagle.us and tell us what you want: a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. We will answer. If there is a live shipment or a legal obligation that stops us deleting something yet, we will say which and when it lapses rather than quietly keeping it.
To stop text messages alone, reply STOP to any of them — that works instantly and needs no email.
Children
This is a service for people arranging their own household move. We do not knowingly collect anything from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes we will change this page. It describes what the site does today, and it is updated when the site changes rather than on a schedule.
